Brave the Wilderness Summer Camp

Brave the Wilderness is a week long, overnight camp for middle school and high school students hosted and put together by several parishes from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Held at Forest Glen in Huntsville, Texas, Brave gives students an opportunity for teens to meet members of other local parishes while building lasting relationships with them and with Christ. Camp activities include zipline, rockwall, swimming, competition games, nightly talks, prayer experiences, Adoration, daily Mass and so much more!. The camp is located in the heart of the Sam Houston National Forest and has a 24-acre private lake! We are very excited about the plans for camp this year, and we can hardly wait for it to begin!!! This camp is open to students currently enrolled in 8^th grade through 12^th grade. We hope that every youth in our parish, from current 8th graders through graduating seniors, will consider spending this week on retreat with us and Brave the Wilderness to attend this great camp!!!

The Details:

--We will leave on Sunday, June 28th, and return in the morning on Friday, July 3rd.

--We will meet at St. Cyril of Alexandria at 10503 Westheimer Rd. and travel by bus to the camp and stay in air conditioned cabins

--Spiritual activities for this year’s camp include: Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Reconciliation, prayer services, skits, inspirational talks, praise and worship, Eucharistic Procession, AND MUCH MORE!!!

--Recreational activities for this year’s camp include: high and low ropes courses, zip lines, rock wall climbing, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, team sports such as soccer and volleyball, swimming, ga-ga ball, small group competitions, Wet and Wild games, AND MANY MORE!!!

--We will need adult chaperones (over 21) to go with us as well. Adult registration is available upon request and the cost is covered by the camp fees.

--The cost is $460 for the entire week…all inclusive (transportation, food and t-shirt are included)!

--Payments must be made online this year. Please make sure to put “Brave the Wilderness” as the reason for payment.

--A non-refundable deposit of $115 is due with the Registration Form. Final Day to register is April 1, 2026, however SPACE IS LIMITED to the first 15 students. (Payments will be due on the first of each month - with the Balance due on April 1, at the latest, if not paid in full). The balance (Approximately $345 after the initial deposit) can be paid in installments or by single payment!!!
